I posted this yesterday morning in Saturday Morning Garden Blogging, and wanted to share with you all. It is what all the gardeners made with our bounty in our gardens this past year. No Chinese imported foods were used in the making of our feast.
Tis the morning of Chistmas, and all through SMGB many elves are a stirring, plotting and planning. To bring you a special Christmas Brunch, a feast for the eyes and belly.
The elves have been busy in the past 6 months leaving clues in their photo's on SMGB of what is to come.
Marian is the crew chief in charge of production. So this is what she has been up to these past few months that she has been a no show.
Our hostess Frankenoid has waved her magic skimmer, to provide the sparkles on the ceiling.
Are honored guests: Secret Santas and Garden Angels.
On 3, Kevvboy's magic gate will transport us to our secret location. Where on the outside Kevvboy and Jayden are having fun putting up the outside lights.
At our secret location upon arrival, finds us looking at the magnificent, enchanted, place Missy's Brother found for our feast.
He did a wonderful job with the table and chairs, and set the room just perfect in tone,with all his flea market finds.
Table favors: Missy's Brother, he says he has extra stuff from all his shopping. Presents for everyone!
Frankenoid has made us all something to keep us warm.
Just in case the wood from Missy's Brother place runs out.
Christmas tree from Blue Jersey Mom, complete with a gift, of a kitty or three.
And what to her wandering eyes, did Escapee find. But more decorations in her attic for our tree.
The flowers on the tables from the gardens of Wayoutinthestix, Escapee, Welso, Blue Jersey Mom, and Frankenoid.
Libations and hor d'ourves are in the Skohayes sunroom.
Frankenoids special brew of lemondade spiked or not.
Eggnog, made with eggs from Ozark Homesteaders chickens.
Ed in Montana has provided the red wine or white whine, whichever your prefer.
Our groaning board is weighted down to the floor with food for the feast prepared by Ed in Montana and Kayakbiker on their smokers and grills.
The veggies in the side dishes were all organically grown in Merry Lights jail.
Main Course:
Venison, Loblolly finally "shot" that deer that has been eating Blue Jersey Mom's flowers.
Fish, caught by Mr. Ozark Homesteader
Black squirrel,and omelet wraps by Kishik.
Turkeys from Sprinkles yard.
Special banana leaves Blue Jersey Mom.
Turtle soup by Melissa J, turtle provided by another blogger.
The breads were baked in Missy's Brother beehive oven when its not in use forcing bulbs.
Music is from Jayden's floor to ceiling collection. He will be spinning the platters, and shining up the disco ball for when the party really gets rolling.
Fruit:
Melons from Franki's summer garden. Her Mister saved us a few.
Dessert is in Escapee's exquisite rose garden. Can't you smell the lush scent of her roses.
Tarts from Kishik and Kayakbiker.
Frankenoid and Ozark Homesteader have made ice cream
After dinner apertifs from Elvis and his peach brandy.
But our special treat is from
Missy Brother’s who provided this magical box
so that we don’t run out.....
of Jupiter Surf’s special yellow, key lime cake just smothered in COCONUT.
Oh, and I almost forgot, our waiter, I found him at David W's, opening night at the Gallery Kos. He works for tips.
