Ha ha.
When I lived in 'The Orient' I once heard a crash from the kitchen.
I walked in, and a plate was smashed on the floor. The servants looked at one another; finally the senior one said....
Wait for it....
"No one was holding it, and so it fell!"
Now we see the "No-fly zone" in Libya, and how effective it is.
"The French" and "The English" are "Taking the lead", but of course "The Arab Nations" are the ones "Taking action"...
Some politician just said "We want to see the red, green, and black flags of Arab countries in this action" ...
Oh yeah...
They're "taking action" all right... Saudi Arabia just sent troops to Bahrain to suppress a popular uprising of people asking for democratic reforms.
Meanwhile, Gaddafi is attacking Bengazi, and the Nato countries are really giving him hell. Sarkozy just said that he's going to... going to...
Do you believe this bull? Really? Tell me that Obama is really serious when he threatens Gaddafi. Gaddafi is laughing at him and continuing to do as he wishes.
You'll have to pardon me for my cynicism, but I just don't see us or anybody else taking concrete action, action that might threaten the guy who is probably going to control Libya's oil. It's bread and circuses, smoke and mirrors, and "The Arab countries" wouldn't dream of doing anything to dislodge a dictator just like their own dictators.
Besides, in Yemen the dictator is shooting his own people; do you hear Obama or Hillary saying anything to discourage him? Oh, you mean the usual noise about "Democracy"? just hot air, as usual. See, we're bgusy "Getting Bin Laden" in Afghanistan, or "Securing Democracy"; whatever the "War du jour" needs to keep making bucks for the MIC. Hey, it's the cost of doing business, baby!
Wake me up when the "Arab Nations" actually do something in Libya...
