Elemental Pentacle (artist unknown-if you know, comment so I can attribute it)
I want get this community off on a solid footing, so I'm soliciting comment from y'all in a number of areas, all of which are below the fold.
Contributions. Obviously the most important thing for a new blog/community. I'm going to keep posting, but it would be great if others would join in. I don't remember the dKos FAQ standard for a diary, but my personal standard for "this is a legit diary" was three paragraphs and a coherent thesis/premise.
Video, photos, art, graphics, I'm all for, just add some commentary to them.
Cross-posting from personal blogs is OK by me. I'm also going to cross-post my stuff to this community to Street Prophets.
Subject matter. Fairly wide open and eclectic. You can see from the comments on the diaries already here that a pretty wide range of folks are already poking their head into the rumpus room.
Suggested topic headers/sub-groups:

I'll edit/update this list as ideas flow in from comments.
Scheduling. I'll probably post something pagan/witchy on Mondays and something from my work with Kraig's book on Ceremonial Magick on Wednesdays. Nobody's obligated to that--diary as the mood and your muses strike you! DK4 communities have extensive scheduling features, so I'll probably space out contributions by at least an hour or two. If you're concerned about being around right when a diary goes up, message me and we'll coordinate publishing.
Group Management. For now, I'm it, but I'd certainly like to see that change. When we start getting diary contributions, I'd like to have an "Editor" or two who can schedule things. It's very important to me that others be involved in management.
Rules. Basic respect is a great start, and all the formal rules we need for now (beyond what Markos and Susan have established as general rules for the site). In time, we may develop the need for more, but we'll see how the discussions move along.
And that's all I've got for now...we'll make up the rest as we go along, so long as we get diaries here! :-)
