In recent days there has been a lot of discussion on Barack Obama point of view on weed. And there has always been an ongoing battle in this country against drug addiction. We constantly discuss ways to handle the ongoing epidemic. Well this dairy is about bringing the discussion back to light. This blog is about bringing back so drug abuse therapy for America big dilemma. When I walk the streets in the neighborhoods I see countless homeless, mentally health problems, and drug addiction and I can’t help but think is this problem ever going to be solved. We need a revolutionary movement to combat this drug epidemic we have here in this country. It seems are politicians are fearful to talk about the billion dollar industry that continues to flourish in America.
Blue Dragon a drug addiction in the Barracks
Sometimes I wonder what side of the fence am I standing on, am I standing on the side of a system that really wants to change and evolve into better human beings. Or am I standing on the side of a fence built so we can’t climb over it and get to see freedom. Or some type of our own personal freedom in which we wish to believe in. Well I don’t know what to think any more when I see Fox News reporting that our military troops are protecting the opium fields in Afghanistan. I don’t know what to believe in any more when I see our own government doing business with the Colombia government. Our own government has decided to build a fort in Colombia adding seven military bases there.
But why are we all the way over there in Colombia building 7 military bases, when Colombia is the biggest exporter of cocaine. Then I look at Afghanistan and here my own government says that they can’t destroy the opium fields because it’s there people’s only form of generating income. And I can’t help but turn around and reflect back on our own drug epidemic right here in America. There was a big discussion about even attempting to legalize marijuana. I really don’t have a problem with legalizing marijuana; it doesn’t kill people like the tobacco industry. And we sell tobacco in huge quantity and we even allow the industry to advertise even do it’s been clamped down on.
But one thing I can say Barack Obama has done is allowed the conviction of piety drug offenses to be lowered. But that shouldn’t just stop there Barack Obama should erase convictions on a person’s background allowing these individuals to attain some jobs. And work to make America progressive instead of still being the American problem. But here in America everyone turns a blind eye at the problem. No one is willing to solve this crisis. No one stops the big pharmaceutical companies from lobbying and allowing them to drug us to death. No one is stepping in to end their advertising blitz just like the tobacco industry.
This drug epidemic affects all sectors of society and instead of investing in Wall Street. Maybe Barack Obama would have done a greater deed and poured money into more programs to deal with ending the crisis America has. But he hasn’t and what we see in America is a growing addiction to create a numbing feeling against the harsh realities Americans face day by day. The ongoing hikes in gas prices, the standard of living decline in Americans, the bankruptcy rate on the rise, the foreclosures on homes and families going homeless.
Sometimes I think this is the reason why so many Americans are so drugged up. But sometimes I think the “Blue Dragon” is right in our own home barracks. I titled this piece Blue Dragon because of the drug epidemic in our own military. Blue Dragon is a hallucination drug which is a new drug that is commonly used among our own troops. It hasn’t been discussed on any mainstream media but it’s a problem happening right in our own barracks. Troops are selling this stuff and many are actually using it as well. A large amount of troops of been smoking “Blue Dragon” and now that there is a new way in testing for it. A large amount of US troops are being let go from the armed forces.
But it goes back to what I have been saying for the longest. The problem is not some foreign agent its right here at home. It’s right here at home in our own barracks. The drug epidemic can be seen in all parts of our society for example, actors like Charlie Sheen, Paris Hilton, and many others. It can be seen in our own military on our streets, on our t.v commercial advertisement. It can be seen on our geopolitical stance when doing business with other countries. But where it can’t be seen or discussed is right here in America. Not one politician talks about it, not one of them does anything about it.
Blue Dragon is right in our barracks and I know I am not hallucinating and seeing things. Maybe Barack Obama will be the one to take on the fight. Since, he said it himself that he to, used drugs for a small period of time during college.
