I've been pretty cautious about jumping to conclusions about the results of the WI Supreme Court Election between JoAnne Kloppenburg and Walker stooge David Prosser. I, like most reasonable people want to see the events in the past few days investigated to the absolute fullest to shed some light on some quite murky circumstances.
That being said, I ran into a link shared by a friend of mine that is... interesting.
It alleges that the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board, the very organization in charge of making sure elections are run fairly and the will of the people is enforced in the state, may have known who was going to win that election before it even happened.
Documentation Here
First of all, let me say that I'm no expert in all things Government. I've got no idea whether or not these documents are legit, what significance they have, or whether or not this is a typical thing to happen in situations like this. If ANYONE has any insight into this, I'd really like to know.
All I can really report is what the link above claimed and what the documents linked along with it show.
According to the documents in the link above, the Government Accountability Board had listed David Prosser as a Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Serving for the 2011 to 2021 term BEFORE THE ELECTION OCCURRED. The date on the linked document is April 3rd, 2011, TWO DAYS before the election was actually held. This would imply that the Government Accountability Board KNEW Prosser was going to win the election before it had even happened.
Now, I haven't ruled out that the document is fake, it's certainly a possibility. Unfortunately, I lack the technical expertise to make that judgment. Also, as I stated above, I'm not sure exactly how the GAB goes about listing those things. Maybe it just assumes the incumbent will win and displays information accordingly, only changing it if the incumbent is unseated? If that was the case, though, that's a pretty odd way of doing things.
If this is real, however, and implies what it seems to imply, it would certainly raise my suspicion of fraud to new heights. Not only that, but it would suggest that the corruption of our electoral system is much worse than we originally thought.
What I hope to accomplish with this diary is to get some eyes on these documents to determine if these are indeed legitimate, and, if so, to bring this kind of corruption out in the open.
PS: To be completely honest, I'm actually hoping these turn out to be fake. I'd much rather be fooled by a clever photoshop than face the reality that our electoral system is beyond redemption..
