I hate and never have liked Genesis 1:26-28 (KJV) any version:
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Damned pretentious. Overreaching.
It appears that an obscure person named Gary North and I are at loggerheads:
The Bible mandates free market capitalism. It is anti-socialist. The proof is here: 10,000 pages of exposition, verse by verse. Free.
Gary North
The essence of democratic socialism is this re-written version of God's commandment: "Thou shalt not steal, except by majority vote."
"Economic democracy" is the system whereby two wolves and a sheep vote on what to have for dinner.
.... When Christianity adheres to the judicial specifics of the Bible, it produces free market capitalism.
.... The Bible is an anti-socialist document. Socialist propagandists for over four centuries have claimed that the Bible teaches socialism, but we have yet to see a single Bible commentary written by a socialist. If the Bible teaches socialism, where is the expository evidence?
.... Beginning in April, 1973, I began writing a verse-by-verse commentary on the economics of the Bible. The first essay, on Genesis 1:26-28, appeared in the May, 1973 issue of the Chalcedon Report.

Who the hell is Gary North? Today's New York Times peels off a few layers:

‘Christian Economics’ Meets the Antiunion Movement
By MARK OPPENHEIMER
Gary North was nearly impossible to track down. He did not return multiple e-mails, and when finally reached by phone, he refused to talk and hung up.
But if you know where to look, he is everywhere.
Mr. North, a onetime aide to Representative Ron Paul of Texas, a possible 2012 Republican presidential candidate, is the leading proponent of “Christian economics,” which applies biblical principles to economic issues and the free market.
Largely unknown to the broader public, Mr. North is an influential figure on the American far right. He has written dozens of books, blogs prolifically and is on the curriculum of Christian home-schoolers across America.

The Times article goes on to reveal that North is the son-in-law of the late, unlamented R. J. Rushdoony, another religious Koch kook who founded the Christian Reconstruction movement. Rushdoony is discussed at length in a 2005 Mother Jones article:

North rejects what he calls "the Social Gospel" in his tome An Introduction to Christian Economics, claiming that God has "cursed the earth. This is the starting point for all economic analysis. The earth no longer gives up her fruits automatically. Man must sweat to eat."

I guess that one, according to Mr. North, must draw the conclusion that what I have always considered to be honest folk who work for a living are actually cursed and hated by God, Social Justice and that kind of crap be damned. Sig Heil, Glenn Beck! Beck certainly look like he's never done an honest day's work in his life, signifying his divine blessing from God, no less, for endlessly shooting his mouth off.
Damned nasty bunch of beggars, if you ask me. And, you gotta watch out for them: Christian Reconstructionists, Dominionists, the cursed Triumphalism movement, et al. They probably babble in tongues, too.
