We've known for a while that America will be a majority people of color by 2042. The new Census data even shows that day might be coming sooner.
Already, a near-majority (46%) of young people are people of color. And four states -- California, Hawaii, Texas, and New Mexico, plus DC -- are majority people of color.
But this new time-lapse map shows just how quickly that change is coming -- and that it's happening in perhaps unexpected areas.
These demographic changes are going to have enormous consequences for our political future. Are activists getting ready?
