Just Great.
Brewer, a Republican, floated the possibility Wednesday, saying there is "ambiguity" in the portion of Arizona's Constitution that addresses term limits.
"There's questions about that, you know," Brewer said. "The Constitution is not really clear. It's never been challenged."

Jan Brewer has decided that "there are still questions" about what the Arizona Constitution says on governors being term limited. I think it is pretty damn clear:
No member of the executive department shall hold that office for more than two consecutive terms. This limitation on the number of terms of consecutive service shall apply to terms of office beginning on or after January 1, 1993. No member of the executive department after serving the maximum number of terms, which shall include any part of a term served, may serve in the same office until out of office for no less than one full term

It seems that the Constitution is nothing but a sheet of paper to these "conservatives" after all.
One can only guess at the motives behind this sudden attempt to redefine the Constitution - but I'm sure it has to do with her lobbyist handlers such as Chuck Coughlin trying to milk the state dry for his clients as long as possible.
Of course, if Jan runs, can Jan win? That race is still nearly 4 years out, so it remains impossible to predict what the environment of that time will be.
If anything, this is yet another example of the national AND Arizona GOP focusing solely on gaining and retaining power - instead of governing. It remains to be seen whether the GOP failure to govern will damage the brand in Arizona. But as of this moment, EVERY problem with this state's government is in their hands. And Democrats in Arizona and around the country should keep pointing that out at every opportunity.
