The deluge of proposed legislation in the war on women across the country makes depressing reading, the hypocrisy is rife.
“This is about respecting women,” said Rep. Ruth Samuelson, a Charlotte Republican who sponsored the bill. “This bill keeps abortion legal. It keeps abortion safe. And, by golly, we know it helps make it more rare. It is still her choice. It makes it her informed choice.”
No it's not, it is direct government interference in our private lives, it is demeaning in that it assumes we are too dumb to decide on our own.
Because nothing says ‘I love you women of North Carolina’ like forcing state mandates on women about what they think is best for their minds and bodies.
We all know what they mean by now by informed choices
1] Lectures on the sanctity of life because after all life begins at fertilization
2] It's all about demeaning women.
3] It's about control and removing women's access to health care
4] To bear the child of the rapist
Our party should be fighting these laws locally and nationally, as usual those in DC are the most reticent to stand up [bar a few] and fight for our rights.
It's time that Republican hypocrisy was emblazoned boldly for all to see rather than hoping they will just see sense.
It is about direct government interference in our most private lives.
It is about government control over our bodies.
It is about removing our rights to health care.
It is about reducing us to second class citizens.
It is a war on women.
Surely the Democratic party can make this into a winning issue for our side?
