A friend of mine, Ana Flores, over at the Spanglish Baby blog is hosting a contest to give away $100 to the winner's favorite charity.
Ana and her partner, Roxana Soto, have been quite vocal at SpanglishBaby to bring awareness to the danger of mercury and coal-related emissions that are polluting our air and causing horrible chronic diseases among us -- all of which can be prevented through the Clean Air Act's new Mercury and Toxics rule. If the proposal passes, it would save thousands of lives each year, not to mention, millions, if not billions, of dollars in healthcare costs.
Ana and I are both receiving a stipend to represent the Moms Clean Air Force (MCAF), which is promoting the rule. To encourage more people to sign up at Moms Clean Air Force, Ana is personally going to give away at random a $100 donation to the winner's favorite charity.
Click here to join MCAF, and leave a comment at Ana's blog or her e-mail -- ana at spanglishbaby dot com -- letting her know that you signed up so that she can enter you for the drawing. This is a win-win especially for a group of activists like ourselves.
Please sign up at MCAF today -- and good luck! :)
