I want to hear a winning strategy for 2012.
The president and congress are talking about cutting spending when jobs are disappearing. This makes no sense. A second stimulus, a bigger and sustained one, is needed but the political calculus is running in the opposite direction. What are we to do? If a Republican gets in office we are likely to get a huge military stimulus and this will create jobs. We could have a lot more jobs had we gone in the direction of a sustained commitment to a peaceful green stimulus but we have not. Someone tell me how we win in 2012? Someone tell me the GOP nominee is not going to call for huge increases in military budget and cuts in domestic spending. Are we destined to play defense for the next 20 years? I'm looking for a strategy.... Please supply one. Anybody?
