Remember when we were all upset because Joe Lieberman (Aetna-CT) sold us out on a robust public option -- well, apparently the big-profit bloodsuckers are scared of even Kent "Public Option Hater" Conrad's silly co-ops, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal:
“There must be a level playing field where all companies providing insurance, including co-ops, are required to abide by the same rules and regulations,” said Robert Zirkelbach, a spokesman for Washington lobbying group America’s Health Insurance Plans that includes Indianapolis-based WellPoint, in an e-mail.
Wow, that just really goes to show how much of a shit's creek the bloodsuckers think they're up in this country at present -- if they feel a need to have to defend themselves against some crappy Conrad co-ops, we know that the bloodsuckers are truly fearing for their survival.
And, there's no reason that co-ops can't take a bite -- although not a huge bite -- out of the bloodsuckers' profits.
The "sickness funds" of Germany, Japan and France aren't that much different from robust co-ops.
Killing off the big-profit bloodsuckers will take action from each and every angle -- if the bastards are scared of co-ops taking away some of their business, let's make sure we're supporting the creation of the best co-ops possible.
And, then, we'll have a nice transition to Medicare for all.
