The Wisconsin Senate is still changed. In fact it has severally restricted Walker.
Right now the GOP has a one seat majority and three weak Republicans. All of them have veto power over anything Walker wants to accomplish.
While it is disappointing to see tonight's results Walker still must remember that 1/3 of the Republicans were defeated. He should be smart enough to figure that his narrow victory in 2010 is irrelevant now. 2012 will be a Democratic election in Wisconsin. The control of the Senate is dependent upon whether or not the Democrats want to have another recall election. He knows that if he is recalled he will probably lose.
Every Republican Senator has veto power over anything Walker wants to do. At least four of these Republicans are in Democratic districts. A recall election can be timed to be part of the general election when Obama will be at the top of the ticket. There will be a few GOP Senators who will force Walker not to threaten their elections with the stupid agenda.
A one vote majority is not that great. Think Joe Liebermand and Ben Nelson. Walker escaped tonight he did not win. When you need GOP senators in Democratic districts you are really hamstrung.
