Talk about it here. Watch it live on CNN or
CNN.com.
4:56 PM PT: According to the tea party person on CNN before the debate, it sounds like she doesn't really like any of the candidates that much, but really dislikes Mitt Romney.
5:00 PM PT: Same tea partier says tonight is make or break for Michele Bachmann. I'm just curious: upon what objective standard could she possibly make or break it?
5:01 PM PT: OMG This opening is AWESOME. Guys in weird tricorne hats and huge beards, weird Jersey-shore style introductions for each candidate. They have nicknames! Holy crap this is wild.
5:03 PM PT: Rick Perry is "The Newcomer." Jon Hunstman is "The Diplomat." Michele Bachmann is "The Firebrand." Herman Cain is "The Businessman." Rick Santorum is "The Fighter." Newt Gingrich is "The Businessman." I missed Mitt Romney's nickname. Here comes Wolf Blitzer. "The moderator."
5:05 PM PT: Romney's nickname was "The Early Frontrunner." Wolf Blitzer is announcing this with the enthusiasm of Jeff Probpst. It's like watching the live Survivor results show. Survivor: Contender.
5:06 PM PT: Perry and Paul were just announced. Did you know that last week's debate was the first time they met? Romney walks out. "Hi guys." "Hi." Bachmann comes out, waving. Romney gives her a kiss.
5:08 PM PT: Okay, they are singing the national anthem. And Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry were not singing along. THEY OBVIOUSLY HATE AMERICA. Damn Communists! At least Mitt Romney was singing along. IN fact Romney and Rick Santorum were the only ones singing along. HATERS!
