Here is a video recently posted to energy news. The man in the video wipes down his truck in Saint Louis after it has been raining all day. He then tests the residue left on his cloth with a geiger counter. The highest sample came in at 133 times background.
Earlier in August there was a fallout event in Saint Louis where the fallout was 178 times background. Tests were made on the half life of the samples here. In this video he plots half life data and finds that the half life was 36.5 minutes for the 178 times background event. The earlier fallout events in April tested at 46.5 minute half life.
He postulates that the fallout was predominately Radon, but the large distribution (many videos are posting to the internet showing high radiation fallout) and high magnitude of radiation in the fallout suggests radiation is coming from Fukushima.
10:15 PM PT: Here is a video posted regarding the 133 times background fallout event. These samples were taken on September 13. Earlier the samples lost their radioactivity quickly. This sample remained radioactive and he calculated a 2.4 day half life for the sample. He postulates that the sample contains Neptunium.
