Welcome to Saturday GUS. Today we are going to talk about Mudras and then meditate today for a bit. Let me know you were here & thanks for stopping by.
First here is the meditation pose, sit with legs crossed, put a small pillow under your tail and sit up straight. Shoulders down, neck stretched, and breathe deep.
"Mudras are positions of the body that have some kind of influence on the energies of the body, or your mood. Mostly the hands and fingers are held in some position, but the whole body may be part of the mudra as well."eclectic energy
Mudras have been in use in the East for thousands of years, particularly in Buddhism. Buddha statues often have the hands in certain hand positions. They have been used as a spiritual practice (and still are), as a way on the path to enlightenment.
To use a mudra, keep it for at least a couple of minutes. It is usually more effective to do them a while longer, like 15 minutes or so. You might spread that time over the day, but you could also make it part of meditation.
The Ganesha mudra can be employed whenever you are struggling. Symbolizes strength when facing troubles. Eases tension.
How to form the Ganesha mudra: Palm of your right hands facing your chest. Left hand grasps the right hand forming a locking grasp, tugging firmly.

Protective Mudra.The Linga mudra is used as a remedy for the lungs, guarding against colds and cold weather. Strenghens immune system.
How to form the Linga mudra: Interlace fingers of both hands, extending one thumb upwards, encircle extended thumb with the index finger and thumb of your other hand.

Earth Connection.The Apana mudra has a grounding force to help you connect with the earth's energies whenever you are feeling off balance or flighty.
How to form the Apana mudra: Tips of thumb, middle and ring finger are joined. Pinky and index fingers are extended.
