Republican Money.
That's what Mitt Rmoney stands for. That's what Mitt Rmoney cares about. That's what Mitt Rmoney has built his fortune on. That's what Mitt Rmoney will focus a presidency on. His last name, "Romney" rearranged to "Rmoney", because money is, has been, and will be the single biggest driver of Mitt Rmoney's entire business and political career. Not people. Profits for the rich, poverty for the poor. Money.
At a time when people are in pain and reeling from a bad economy, where corporations are made people so they can spend unlimited amounts to trample over our rights, we need to appeal directly to people's amygdalas. People vote with their hearts, not their minds; by the time their prefrontal cortexes make up reasons to justify their preferences for a candidate, their limbic systems have already made their decisions. They've connected emotionally; their NAccs have won over their insulas.
So this election season, don't (just) appeal to stats; appeal to emotions. Hit them with the truth: Mitt Rmoney doesn't care about you. He cares about money.
What about Obama; what does he care about? I'll tell you:
Obama spent three years teaching people how to find work, training them for jobs, tutoring them for college, and championing their rights as tenants.
Obama spent fourteen years teaching young future lawyers about the law. Not money.
Obama helped to register "150,000 of 400,000 unregistered African Americans" in Chicago, empowering them with their right to participate in our political process.
Obama spent nine years as a lawyer fighting for civil rights and economic development. Not for big money.
And that's all before he became a Senator or our President.
What has Mitt Romney Rmoney done for you lately?
If you already know about all this, go and tell it to someone who doesn't. And wouldn't it be sweet if the DNC or Obama camp comes up with a campaign vid that visually rearranges Romney's last name with a big red "R" and the word "money" at every turn?
