Talk about it here. Watch it live on ABC or
online.
6:18 PM PT: Ron Paul's constant attacks on Rick Santorum are giving Santorum plenty of time to talk about his record, but I don't think either one are coming off well.
6:20 PM PT: Eighteen minutes into the debate Rick Perry gets his first words in, and handles himself well—doesn't drool on himself. He calls Ron Paul an insider for securing earmarks, but voting against the bills with the earmarks. Ron Paul then defends earmarks...and segues into another attack on Santorum. And now Santorum defends himself again.
6:21 PM PT: Sawyer asks a really tough question to Jon Huntsman: "Tell us why you would be a better commander-in-chief than the others on this stage." A real gotcha'!
6:22 PM PT: Ron Paul's incessant attacks on Rick Santorum are the greatest gift to Mitt Romney that Romney could imagine.
6:23 PM PT: When Jon Huntsman opens his mouth, I get sleepy.
6:23 PM PT: Sawyer asked Romney a super tough two-word question. "Governor Romney?"
6:24 PM PT: Mitt Romney says everybody on the stage would be a better POTUS than Obama. Dude, that includes Ron Paul.
6:26 PM PT: Now it's Rick Perry's turn for a getting a tough question: Does his experience as a fighter pilot make him better prepared to be commander-in-chief? ABC is really grilling these guys. It totally reminds me of how they handled the Democratic debate in Philadelphia between Hillary and Obama.
6:27 PM PT: Newt says he has military experience through osmosis from his dad.
6:30 PM PT: Ron Paul mentions "Rick" camera shoots to Perry. He was talking about Santorum. Paul is ripping Gingrich as a chicken hawk for dodging the draft. Okay this is so completely irrelevant. Romney is loving life—nothing tough has come his way so far.
6:31 PM PT (Kaili Joy Gray): The liveblogging continues in the next thread.
