Now normally I would get into trouble with some admitting my DFH loving ways at punk rock shows, but good music is good music and bands like the Who and the MC5 contributed to punk's rise so it's more about the clashing of generations than anything else.
But anyway, when I was 11 or 12 I listened to nothing but great DFH music especially 12 where I got high for the first time and was always tripped out by this Led Zeppelin song that doesn't get enough recognition.
The Battle of Evermore
And of course these classics:
Over the Hills and Far Away
The Stairway to Heaven
I always loved Jimmy's version the best as did Bob Dylan himself.
All Along the Watchtower
I listened to a lot of Hendrix proudly as there was nothing hyped about him. He was the real deal.
Hey Joe
Little Wing
This was the opening of one of my favorite movies as a kid, The Lost Boys(better vampire flick than many today).
People are Strange
Touch Me
The Who
Behind Blue Eyes(I just love this performance)
I love Pinball. Pinball Wizard
The Graduate is a great movie and introduced me to this song and Simon and Garfunkel (Only really good together).
Sound of Silence
Song that sums up the kind of person I am.
I Am a Rock
And now two of my favorite Rolling Stones songs to close the show.
Wild Horses
Heh, I love breakup "I'll never forgive her" songs.Under My Thumb
I'm sure there is lots I forgot. I told you I was on drugs during this period. So DON'RT SCREAM AT ME ABOUT WHAT I FORGOT!
Post it and thank you. :D
