One of Flip Flopney's biggest arguments is that he has business experience. I've always thought that was irrelevant to an extent, especially Mitt's type of "business experience". If the United States' was the world's biggest exporter/creator of carrion, I'd nominate Mitt for the top job myself.
But government is not a business. Government doesn't exist to turn a profit. Government is to take care of the general welfare of the people.
Just a few minutes ago, Lawrence O'Donnell was interviewing Romneybot Tim Pawlenty. Pawlenty, as we know, is a sometimes reasonable-sounding but incessantly boring character. Anyone defending Romney is bound to sound like an idiot, so I kind of feel sorry that T-Paw has to writhe around in the same filth that seems to ooze from every pore of Romney's being.
Anyway, O'Donnell asked Tim Pawlenty to name a great businessman who has gone on to become a great president. Pawlenty's logic circuits seemed to be EMP'd for a moment. He babbled a bit before saying Ronald Reagan. O'Donnell laughed at him and suggested that Reagan was head of a union (SAG) and was a "union thug". Then T-Paw went back in history, citing Abraham Lincoln. O'Donnell too, laughed at this. Then T-Paw hit the $1 bill and said George Washington. I thought he was going to say that he owned a cherry tree farm. I almost felt bad for Pawlenty. He should have vetted Romney. You can see in his eyes that he thinks it should be Romney answering questions about him, not the other way around. Anyway, good stuff by O'Donnell.
If anyone has the clip, can you post it. This was awesome to behold.
