I'm getting excited about Washington State finally realizing that it is the 21st century and equal rights for everyone should be a non issue. When our governor signs the bill today, there will be a massive effort to undermine fairness and equality, all in the name of Jesus.
Riddle me this....where is the chapter in the bible where Jesus says no gay marriage? It's ok for fundamentalists to add language or create interpretations that roll with what they think, but when Obama talks about Jesus it's code for Allah of Kenya. We have a pastor up in King County that will make it a religious issue and cry foul. The empire of Karl Rove and his Crossroads GPS will kick in the God wifi to send out the message to the flock to stop gay marriage.
Remember when Massachusetts legalized Gay marriage a few years back? The predictions were that marriage would crumble in that state and cause things to go downhill. People would want to marry their horse or pet. The next thing you know, people would want to marry their siblings. Unfortunately, this fantasy future out of a Jack Chick track did not happen. If Jack Chick were to make a feature length movie with the creators of Left Behind, Gay Marriage leading to Christ's return would be a money maker.
I hope that reasonable people will not sign the petition I'm sure I'll be asked to sign in order to enter the Republican Caucus here in Washington State on March 3rd. I know that Rick Santorum will have a prayer session when he comes to our state to bless the signature gatherers to get enough to stop civil rights and put our country in reverse.
Rick Santorum and this whole anti gay marriage crusade reminds me of the time I put a VW bus transmission together the wrong way. When we put it in reverse, it went really slow forward. When we put it in 1st gear, it started going backwards. 2nd gear went faster backwards. At that point, we had to stop the vehicle and take the transmission out and rebuild it. I feel that the anti civil rights crowd really needs their transmissions rebuilt.
