This thread is a slut who has boyfriends lined up around the block.
- The Washington Post editorializes about Rush Limbaugh's misogyny:
For the good of U.S. political culture — or at least its own political self-interest — the GOP must distance itself from Mr. Limbaugh. In response to listener complaints and, apparently, the promptings of its own corporate conscience, Sleep Train Mattress Centers has quit advertising on Mr. Limbaugh’s show. Dare Republican leaders show less decency?
Short answer? Of course they do. Because Rush Limbaugh is the actual leader of the Republican Party.
- Leading conservative pundits who opine on contraception seem to have no idea how it works.
- Jennifer Kerns, the official spokeswoman for the California Republican Party, has this to say on Twitter about Krystal Ball:
Stripper, or strategist? Democrat strategist on MSNBC raging against Limbaugh, her name is supposedly "Krystal Ball." Speaking of #sluts...
Rush Limbaugh's long-lost daughter perhaps.
- Looks like the revenue measures in California are heading for a showdown.
- As entertaining as it would be to run against Rick Santorum, running against this guy will be pretty hilarious as well:
In July 2009, Mitt Romney called on President Obama to require Americans to buy insurance as part of his health care plan, using “tax penalties” as a backstop — in other words, the individual mandate that Republicans virulently oppose.
In a USA Today op-ed that has since been removed but remains available on MittRomneyCentral.com, Romney urged Obama to look to his Massachusetts health care plan that contained the same policy, and touted it as effective.
- The brave and much beleaguered Sandra Fluke is considering a suit against Rush Limbaugh for his repeated insistence that she is a slut and a prostitute:
Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke told The Daily Beast Friday that she may sue conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh because he called her “slut” and a “prostitute” after she testified that health insurance companies should be required to cover contraception. “I’ve certainly been told I might have a case, but it’s not something I’ve made any decisions about at this point,” Fluke said.
I hope she does. People have been afraid of Rush Limbaugh for so long, but I think he finally went over the edge this time. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person.
