With March’s arrival, it’s also the re-arrival of Paul Ryan’s extreme budget. The Ryan plan, which he originally announced last year, would “essentially end Medicare,” according to the Wall Street Journal.
Medicare, which benefits 48 million elderly and disabled Americans, is a promise to our seniors that we must keep. The Ryan budget is unfair, and asks our most vulnerable citizens to make sacrifices while millionaires and big business are not asked to share in these sacrifices. It is absolutely wrong and immoral to ask people worked hard their entire lives and paid into Medicare with the promise of health care in their retirement to sacrifice what they have earned. I will always support Medicare, and I believe that we must safeguard it from plans such as the Ryan budget that seek to destroy it.
Adam Hasner, my opponent, supports the Ryan plan fully, even saying that it’s only a step in the right direction, and doesn’t go far enough.
This is an unconscionable attack on America's seniors and we will not stand for it.
Sign our open letter to Adam Hasner asking why he wants to make seniors suffer.
I support the 48 million seniors who rely on Medicare, why don’t you?
