Letter from a wonderful constituent in Seacoast OnLine.
March 15 — To the Editor:
We are extremely blessed by having had truly exceptional female leadership in N.H. Congressional District 1. My wife and I have had the privilege of knowing former Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter, even before she ventured into the political arena. As an Air Force veteran who served more than 30 years, I have always appreciated that Carol fought, from day one, for the best interests of military personnel and their dependents. We need her back in Congress, and in particular, on the House Armed Services Committee.
As a retired Air Force chief (known to my friends as either Fred or Chief) and now a retired high school assistant aerospace science teacher, I have served in many capacities in New Hampshire, primarily in voluntary status such as N.H. Human Rights commissioner and assisting in providing oversight to 17 New England civil rights organizations (linked to the NAACP), which is the oldest, largest and most respected civil rights organization.
Those who know me, I believe, view me as a "tell it as it is" person. Telling it as it is, I encourage all of my friends, associates, former students, their family, friends and retirees to support this jewel of a person. We need Carol back in Congress, helping to make intelligent and informed decisions to benefit N.H. residents and the nation.
