SB 1433 has already passed the state Senate, and is now in the House, set to come to the floor about 1:30 today.
Reproductive justice advocates (Oklahoma Coalition for Reproductive Justice and Planned Parenthood) have mounted a significant campaign against the legislation, and has (finally) been joined by doctors publicly opposing the measure.
The Democrats have also been busy, and have proposed 22 amendments, which seek to lessen the severity of the Act and create both friction and cover for legislators to ultimately vote against the bill (many say they don't like it, but will they have the courage to vote accordingly? )
OCRJ will be in the gallery today, starting at 11. Personhood supporters put out a call for their people to come at Noon. OCRJ will be in PINK, personhood in BLUE: the gallery should be colorful!
