I did my civic duty today.
I voted. And it nearly made me sick. I voted in the Republican Primary.
Why? You're bound to ask it, the answers below the squiggle.
I went online and have been researching the different candidates from both parties, I've listened to the news and the polling here, and elsewhere too.
And I realized that come November, I'll be voting a straight Democratic Ticket, and those running in the Democratic primaries are all better than the Republican on the ticket.
I know there are some differences between them, but it wasn't enough for me to strongly sway one way or the other on any of them.
But on the Republican side of the ticket I had to contend with the following...
They are unfortunately going to have a lot easier time in November on almost all the races down ticket. I can attempt to throw a wrench into the works, vote for those who seem saner than the rest, and vote against the candidates the Tea Party support. Most of the time in TX, those objectives coincide. I think it means I was voting for the candidates with the least chance, but (of the Republicans) would be the best choice.
I also get to vote against Mitt Romney early.
I ask for forgiveness, I'll make up for it in November. I promise.
