This is a funny story from mediamatters.org.

Apparently, all the usual dupes and dopes from the right-wing smear machine fell into dutiful line yesterday when this little item popped up on their TV and computer screens at home:
"At NAACP Summit, Biden Reminisces About Sitting In REVEREND WRIGHT'S CHURCH"
That was the Fox Nation take on the story.
Then the Drudge Report got into the act, linking to a report on a site run by a conservative blogger who goes by the name - I kid you not - Weasel Zippers.
Not to be outdone, Glenn Beck's site The Blaze wondered aloud, "But Biden curiously started his speech by reminiscing about sitting in Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church."
Michelle Malkin then wrote that Biden had given a "shout out to ... Rev. Jeremiah Wright" and asked, "Who thought resurrecting the race-hustling reverend was a good idea?"
Well, no one actually, Michelle, and anyone with a lick of sense would have known not to take such a story at face value.
For the reality, of course, is that Biden was talking about a different Reverend Wright altogether, an old friend of Biden's from Delaware.
Eventually, even these numbnuts figured it out and retreated in embarrassment...assuming they can feel such an emotion as embarrassment that is. But Malkin couldn't even swallow her pride long enough to resist accusing Biden of setting a trap for them all, claiming that that mean old Mr. Biden "should have made a greater effort to make a clear distinction with the infamous Rev. Wright, given how much he haunted his boss during the 2008 campaign season..." In other words, we're pretty darn stupid out here in wing nut land so please stop making us look like the fools we are. We can do that well enough on our own, thank you very much.
Come to think of it, considering Joe's penchant for stirring up mischief, she just might be "Wright" about that after all.
