I never thought I'd see this-- my state's teahead governor, Rick Perry, calling on Mitt Romney to release his tax returns.
If you didn't think the Romney campaign was already in trouble, you really have to wonder after what Perry had to say.
(Mitt still is making excuses on why he still won't release more tax returns. See update below)
More below.
Here's part of what the Huffington Post reported:
Texas Gov. Rick Perry is calling on fellow Republican and former rival Mitt Romney to release his tax returns.
Perry said anyone running for office should make public as much personal information as possible to help voters decide.
Perry has released his tax returns dating to 1992.
President Obama has already released 12 years worth of tax returns. Romney's father, George, released 12 years of returns as well.
Even Perry has released tax returns dating back to 1992.
Mitt? What are you hiding?
Political embarrassment should be the least of your concerns given the disastrous job you and your campaign have done in handling questions involving your tax returns and life at Bain Capital.
How much more blood will Romney continue to spill as he continues to resist calls from even Republicans like Perry to disclose his tax returns?
As one who supports President Obama, it's getting better by the moment the more Mitt continues to mishandle this situation. Am I smelling more popcorn anywhere?
3:42 PM PT: Romney still doesn't get it. He now says he's "not enthusiastic" about releasing more of his tax returns. Here's part of his explanation: "The world of finance is not as simple as some would have you believe." Here's the link to the story: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...
