On today's show
We'll begin, of course, with DemFromCT, and a peek under the hood (and a little tire kicking) in polling world. Plus we'll hear from Joan McCarter on yesterday's Senate tax vote and the bumpy path forward for President Obama's tax plan. In between and on both sides, we'll review the day's news and curiosities, hear more of The Chronicles of Mitt, and generally set you up with a full day's supply of substance and snark.
Be sure to hang around afterwards for Jesse and Armando, and a full day of solid, progressive programming afterward, brought to you by the gang at Netroots Radio!

And because I still care... What's happening in Congress today?
In the House
The House will be finishing up its work on the "Red Tape Reduction Act" (the one with the drafting error that required the administration to work towards achieving 6% employment), including postponed votes on 15 pending amendments. That stupid typo will be corrected in a separate vehicle, H. Res. 741, which is essentially a second, special rule for the Red Tape Reduction Act that does nothing but fix this mistake. Republicans had sought unanimous consent to do this without a separate vote, but Dems said go Cheney yourself to that one.
In addition, they'll pass H. Con. Res. 134, "Condemning, in the strongest possible terms, the heinous atrocities that occurred in Aurora, Colorado."
In the Senate
Gornisht mit bupkis. There's yet another cloture motion ripening on yet another motion to proceed, this one to S.3414, the Cybersecurity Act. But that vote, absent a unanimous consent agreement to move it up, won't happen until Friday. So it's another day burned. At least they didn't burn yesterday for nothing, too, having passed the Democratic tax bill. But we'll have to talk today on the show about what lies ahead for that.
