In the last few days some wonderful pics have shown up on facebook to educate us silly liberals on just how silly we are. Here is one I saw last night:
You see if we are going to talk about gun control, limiting the amount of rounds in a legal clip, or even an assault weapons ban, we need to talk about rocks too.
Because it's all equivalent
Sigh.
What do you suppose is that weight of that rock that person is holding in their hand?
How easy (and fast) is it for an average human to transport a bag of 100 rocks of that size and weight, unaided, with just their own backs, arms and legs, 100 yards? Okay 50 yards? 30 yards?
How many of those rocks, being that size and weight can an average human arm, unaided, throw in 90 seconds?
What is the range of that unaided human arm throwing rocks of that size and weight?
At a distance of 10 feet, can a rock that size and that weight , thrown unaided by the average human arm, put a hole clean through another person's mid section?
Can a rock that size and that weight , thrown unaided by the average human arm at a distance of over 10 feet go right through one piece of dry wall, through sound proof batting, through another piece of dry wall and still wound someone sitting on the other side?
Can an average unaided human arm throw enough rocks of that size and weight fast enough, in a fanning motion, to create anything resembling "supressive fire?"
Will the 30th rock that size and weight being thrown by the average unaided human arm in 90 seconds, go the same distance as the 1st rock?
Can an average person, carrying a bag of 100 rocks, throwing them unaided with an unaided arm kill 12 people and injure 58 in a crowded theater in 90 seconds?
How about a sling/sling shot?
Well a sling is something that requires finesse and practice, something that an AR15 does not require. But a slingshot on the other hand. . .
It would make the load of 100 rocks smaller and lighter, and greatly assists the unaided human arm - giving the projectile more speed, more inertia = more damage.
How easy (and fast) is it for an average human to transport a bag of 100 slingshot sized rocks, unaided, with just their own backs, arms and legs, 100 yards? 50 yards? 30 yards?
How many of those slingshot sized rocks, can an average human arm, using a slingshot, unleash in 90 seconds?
What is the range of that human arm with aid of a slingshot unleashing slingshot sized rocks?
At a distance of 20 feet, can a slingshot sized rocks, unleashed by the average human arm with slingshot, put a hole clean through another person's mid section?
Can a slingshot sized rock, unleashed average human arm aided by a slingshot at a distance of over 20 feet go right through one piece of dry wall, through sound proof batting, through another piece of dry wall and still wound someone sitting on the other side?
Can an average human arm aided with a slingshot unleash enough slingshot sized rocks fast enough, in a fanning motion, to create anything resembling "supressive fire?"
Will the 30th slingshot sized rocks unleashed the average unaided human arm with a slingshot, in 90 seconds, go the same distance as the 1st rock?
Can an average person, carrying a bag of 100 slingshot sized rocks, unleashing them with and average human arm with only the aid of a slingshot, kill 12 people and injure 58 in a crowded theater in 90 seconds?
Oh and one more thing:
Slingshots are illegal in many states (CA, MA, RI, NJ, etc. ) and many municipalities (Salt Lake City, UT; Charleston, SC; Dearborn, MI; St. Louis, MO; the City and County of Denver, etc.)
