If the Romney/Ryan/Republican's Medicare voucher plan is so great, why don't they implement their plan immediately? Instead, they created a two tier system - current Medicare recipients get the traditional Medare plan and future recipients get a voucher plan. It seems to me that if it was such a great deal for seniors and the country, they would want to roll it out now and get the benefits of their policy rather than wait for more than ten years before we reap their brilliance.
I can think of two reasons. First, the voucher plan is crap when compared to the current system and to alllow current receipients to compare results would make that obvious. Second, creating a two tiered system guarantees sources of election funds for years to come from insurance companies.
I look forward to someone asking Romney/Ryan/Republican, or what I like the to call the "three r's of doom", why the wait. If there plan is so great for the country, why not roll it in right now?
