If there is a soul who watched Bill Clinton tonight and didn't get inspired then their nose is growing. That inspired me to jump off the couch and start cheering. I'm pretty sure my conservative neighbors called the police.
Seriously, all you have is an old senile Clint Eastwood and we have the master, the guy who works a crowd like no other. You throw up a prop and call it an empty chair. Bill Clinton just put Middle Class America on his back tonight and said "Game on for the next two months"
I have not posted here or really been inspired about politics in quite some time. Probably since 2010 to be honest I have felt the urge to get on here or rally the troops at home. But tonight was one of those "it" or defining moments if you were watching the Democratic convention.
And it wasn't just the Big Dog. The auto workers , the CEO's of good American companies, workers displaced by Bain Capital, Sandra Fluke and Elizabeth Warren all brought their A game this evening. The empty suits and wall streeters had their moment in Tampa and the polls showed a slight bounce as they will, but last night with Michele's performance and tonight I think we have a lot to feel good about going into the stretch of this campaign.
I felt that we didn't have a lot of momentum going into this convention. I guess that comes with the territory being the party of the incumbent. We don't get to make some flashy move by promoting a Congressman of a single district or the Mayor of Wasilla
to the front of the line. Not that we would do that anyways.
But last night and tonight we played like the underdog as we should and told America why we need four more years of Barack Obama. I'm proud to be an American, I'm proud to be a Democrat.
