I haven't seen anyone on Daily Kos make an diary on this but I just checked the news. It appears U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has been cleared by the Justice Department Inspector General.

(CBS/AP) The Justice Department's inspector general cleared Attorney General Eric Holder and his top deputies Wednesday of knowing about the gun-walking operation known as Fast and Furious that allowed thousands of weapons to cross into Mexico.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz concluded that there were "serious failures" at both the Justice Department and its Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives going back more than six years, CBS Radio News reporter Stephanie Lambidakis reports.
Horowitz found that no one running the operations -- not agents, nor prosecutors, nor managers -- questioned the wisdom of letting guns vanish across the border with Mexico, where they ended up in the hands of drug traffickers.
Note that it's a systematic problem that's happened within the Justice Department but that Holder is not to blame for the whole Fast and Furious issue.
Here's Holder's statement on the report:
"It is unfortunate that some were so quick to make baseless accusations before they possessed the facts about these operations - accusations that turned out to be without foundation and that have caused a great deal of unnecessary harm and confusion," Holder said. "I hope today's report acts as a reminder of the dangers of adopting as fact unsubstantiated conclusions before an investigation of the circumstances is completed."
Now, I think it's about time House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa issues an apology to Eric Holder. If not, I say Issa should be defeated for re-election.
1:22 PM PT: I just found who is challenging Rep. Darrell Issa for re-election. His name is Jerry Tetalman and he's definitely a progressive. Here's his campaign website:

4:05 PM PT: Here's a video of Darrell Issa ripping Eric Holder. If only Issa had this same energy during the run up to and the execution of the Iraq War.
4:20 PM PT: Here's Senator John Cornyn going after Eric Holder and demanding he resign. Once again, Cornyn is putting his party above the country as he has never questioned the Iraq War or anything of the previous Bush administration. Great timing with your acting, Senator!
