With delivery of over 1 million signatures petitioning the Recall of WI Gov. Scott Walker Tuesday, the embattled and addled politician has finally managed to live up to one campaign promise: 30 workers have been hired to process the papers for the GAB.
The positions have been created within the Accountability Board's offices, and will help process the 300 pounds of paperwork delivered to the department.
WI officials are already seeking to extend the period with which they have the opportunity to cull signatures for any out of state, duplicate, or otherwise fraudulent signatures, despite the adherence of the grassroots effort on the 60-day limit imposed on the collection efforts themselves.
Keeping in mind that the new state employees will be hired from the ranks of those who refused to sign the petitions, since no signatory can be also used to also verify, it appears that Scotty Snotty has finally succeeded in finding those WI jobs for just a few more of his supporters.
The GAB, to dust off the appearance of impropriety, has started up a live-stream webcam to view the process, while simultaneously warning of anticipated technical outages to the new system.
