"Scott Walker Cruises to Victory!"
That's a horrible headline. Makes me ill at the thought of it.
However, that's what the latest poll from Marquette University is telling us very well can happen unless we can find a candidate to take on Scott Walker:
Walker led Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, 50 percent to 44 percent; former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk 49 percent to 42 percent; former U.S. Rep. Dave Obey 49 percent to 43 percent and State Sen. Tim Cullen 50 percent to 40 percent. Source
I don't know about you, but I've seen too many people lay it all on the line to lose this election to somebody like Scott Walker. There is too much at stake. There is no way in hell the Democratic party of Wisconsin should be running any candidate other than the best possible candidate to defeat this rampaging piece of filth.
That is why we need Russ Feingold, now more than ever, to run against Scott Walker.
Here's the last poll that ran him against Walker:
The only one who beats him in a hypothetical recall is Russ Feingold. But Feingold's already said he's probably not going to run. . . PPP
Unlike the other candidates, Russ Feingold has name recognition and won't get defined by a barrage of negative ads which will come early and often.
Unlike the other candidates, Feingold has already run state wide and unlike every else, Feingold can unite older and younger voters of all stripes in what's going to be the most high stakes Gubernatorial elections we may see in our lifetimes.
Russ Feingold has inspired a lot of people during his career. He gave a lot of us hope before the word became fashionable.
Now, it's time for him to deliver on it.
Please petition him to throw his hat in the ring in a run against Scott Walker. Any one of those candidates currently in the race are light years better than Scott Walker and I don't look to disparage a single one of them.
But, with so much on the line, failure is not an option. Too much is at stake in Wisconsin and what happens will reverbrate throughout the country.
We need Russ Feingold, now more than ever.
