Hahahahaha:
At a friendly, very un-Santorum-esque Q&A at the College Convention, a student got another bite at the Occupy apple. Glenn Kaplan couldn't get Huntsman on the record about whether corporations were legally people. The student did.
"Of course corporations are not people," joked Huntman. "Who would say such an outlandish thing!"
Mitt Romney, that's who:
In addition to finally telling a funny joke, Huntsman got some good news last night when
The Boston Globe endorsed him. I don't think there's any evidence that
The Globe's endorsement will win Huntsman votes in and of itself, but as a potential leading indicator, it's noteworthy.
It's hard to imagine anything other than Mitt Romney winning New Hampshire, but if Romney loses independent and moderate support to Huntsman, not only will Huntsman emerge as a player, but Santorum will finish closer to Romney than Romney would probably like. To some extent, Huntsman could be to Romney what Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, and Newt Gingrich were to Rick Santorum in Iowa. If that's what happens, then Huntsman could pose a serious threat to Romney's divide-and-conquer strategy in both South Carolina and Florida.
