Despite Rick Santorum's statements about the plight of "Blah" People, the obstruction and grid-lock he and his Tea Party cohorts have put in place the last few years, has inflicted harm all across the color and income spectrums.

(CNN) - Right now in America, there are more than 46 million people living on food stamps. It's a staggering number that has exploded in the past few years.

The pantry's director says 30 new people come each month. A recent survey by the U.S. Conference of mayors found that "unemployment" is the number one reason people give when requesting food aid. That's followed by "overall poverty", "low-wage jobs" and "high housing costs."
In fact our Trickle-down Economy, which is decidedly tilted to the wealthy few -- tilted to not harm the sensibilities of the Job Creators -- has inflicted its gnawing curse of hunger upon many segments of society, that I suspect even Righteous Rick would be surprised to learn about, assuming he actual gave a damn, about actual people:

It even is a concern of some of Middle America's celebrated Heroes, like Captain Sully ... It is a shame what the 1% favoritism of Reaganomics, has done to this once bountiful "land of opportunity." ... It's a damn shame.
And not enough people realize, the scourge of Poverty is in most respects color-blind -- it takes its toll on all walks of life, all races, and creeds ... even the Children.
That's one demographic, that used to unite us as a country ... unite us in hopes of leaving them a "better world" ... But grid-lock and obstruction it seems, has put an end to those humane national dreams.

It truly is a sad national commentary, that our politics has "devolved" to such a point, that today our would-be obstructionist leaders -- actually brag about "who they will take help away from, next" ... be they Black, White, Hispanic, Seniors ... or just the kids ...
It makes no difference to them ... when it comes to compassion it's the kids own fault, they weren't born rich. Perhaps they just need to "learn how to sweep a few floors," or so the GOP Greed-meisters will claim, right Mr Gingrich?
Hunger? What's the fuss all about, it's not like their fellow countrymen owe them anything -- not anymore, anyways. Not in their America.
You must be thinking of "some other America" -- that exists only in History Books. Don't you know there is a new Tea Party America in town?
And they are here to tell you: "If you are Poor (and Hungry) -- it's your own damn Fault!" ... Sorry about that kids ... you understand right?
Tell it to them GOP ... tell it to them, your once "Reagan Democrats" base -- that you've now cast aside, like so many obstructing pawns ... in your medieval game ...

The ongoing economic recession and under-employment in the United States has resulted in a big increase in middle class people relying on food stamps.
Tell it to them Rick, tell it to them ...
Maybe, just maybe, it is somebody else's own damn fault ... that they no longer have the Opportunities, that used to make this country great; Such is the cost the Tea Party 's ongoing Obstruction.
