Gallup Daily Tracking Poll still shows the President with a 3% lead. This week’s VP debate will be very interesting.
Of course, for too many of us, the first debate was a show that the President didn’t do his best in. We’ve watched this campaign for going on two years. We know that Romney and Ryan intend to destroy as much of the public sector as possible starting with Medicaid, because its constituents are much weaker politically than Medicare or Social Security.
But we know that a Romney win would roll back the Great Society and New Deal, essentially destroying the middle class as a powerful political voting block.
Some of us had hoped that the first debate would put Romney away.
That was never going to happen. This was always going to be a tight base-driven election. And it still is.
Street level and ground level organizing will determine who wins. Call Obama for America. Call your union. Get on the phones. Get on the street.
