Palm, meet face.
Romney today says, "‘We Don’t Have People Who Die Because They Don’t Have Insurance" and besides they can always go to the Emergency Room.
Mitt Romney to Glenn Beck in 2007, uninsured people who go to the ER are engaging in a "form of socialism"
. . . in a 2007 interview with Glenn Beck, Romney called the fact that people without insurance were able to get "free care" in emergency rooms "a form of socialism."
"When they show up at the hospital, they get care. They get free care paid for by you and me. If that's not a form of socialism, I don't know what is," he said at the time. "So my plan did something quite different. It said, you know what? If people can afford to buy insurance ... or if they can pay their own way, then they either buy that insurance or pay their own way, but they no longer look to government to hand out free care. And that, in my opinion, is ultimate conservativism."

And if they can't pay?
Die Quickly.
So I am uninsured, what if I get sick? Should I go be a socialist based on Mitt Romney's advice today? Or should I just die quickly like the other 47,000 people a year who die, often in their apartments, uninsured. I guess it's not Mitt Romney's job to worry about those people.
But of course, it's not like Mitt Romney understands "Can't pay".
So is going to the Emergency Room what I should do, Mitt Romney? Or is that socialism? It can't be both. Oh I know, Mitt Romney doesn't give a shit whether you live or die, just as long as his tax money doesn't have to pay for any of it. That's for charities or hospitals or governments to pay for! It's like going Galt in your mind. No man is an island unless he can get to the Cayman Islands, then he is.
If Romney is saying that socialism is the answer he's going to be in big trouble when Mitt Romney finds out what Mitt Romney has been saying.
And Republicans, moronic lemmings that they are, are going to vote for this Multi-millionaire bankster who wants to raise their taxes so he can cut his own taxes in droves because they hate socialism.
At least we know that when unrealistic free market claptrap fails in the health care world we can count on Mitt Romney's belief that socialism will take care of things.
The floor is now yours.
