Charleston, SC – Comedian and comedy club owner Vinnie Brand will perform in Charleston next week at a fundraiser for Bobbie Rose’s campaign.
The show starts at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 at the American Theater (456 King St.).
Tickets are $45, and can be purchased online from a link on the campaign website (http://www.bobbieroseforcongress.com/...). Attendees can also pay at the door beginning at 7 p.m. that evening.
“I’m very pleased to have this unique type of campaign event,” says Rose, Democratic candidate for the 1st Congressional Dist.
“Political fundraisers can too often be stiff, boring events for attendees, but not this one,” she says, referring to the show as a “’FUN’ raiser.”
Rose knows Brand through her husband Tom Ucciferri, a television stage manager who’s worked and been friends with the comedian for many years.
Brand has performed at every comedy club in New York City, and with routines on the everyday topics of marriage, family and bills.
He has owned The Stress Factory, a comedy club in New Brunswick, NJ, for 20 years, and has appeared on many television shows, including “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd.”
