I was watching the debate last night, but near the end I was trying to multitask and not paying attention that closely. I could have sworn that I heard Mitt Romney say: "Trickle-down economics doesn't work. It has never worked." Did he actually say those words or was I imagining it and he really said 'Trickle-down Government' or something else that he invented?
Because if he did I think that is fairly significant, since a lot of Republican economic theory (strike that, mythology) is based around the assumption that trickle-down economics worked for Reagan and could work again in the future. If he really said that it never worked, doesn't it mean a large portion of his base is now offended if they were listening closely?
