In-person early voting starting today, in Ohio. The Columbus Dispatch has a nice story about college students who camped out so they could be the first people to cast their votes.
About 50 people were lined up along the entrance, counting down the minutes before the center opened. Many were Ohio State students — and Obama supporters — who camped outside of the voting site at the former Kohl’s store at 1700 Morse Rd. on the North Side.
There have been rumblings suggesting that enthusiasm is down among Democratic voters in Ohio. Fifty people in line on the first day, a month before the election, smells like enthusiasm to me
There is a comment on that article that I can't help but laugh at.
ELIZABETH LEVY (ELEVY)
Watch out! Early voters may be mostly Democrats, but I can promise you that the majority of absentee ballots coming from Ohioans living in Israel will Republican. What do we know that others may not? That Obama's foreign policy is a DISASTER! (emphasis mine)
Yes, that's right. This election is going to be decided by Ohioans casting absentee ballots from Israel.
In related news. The First Lady was in Cincinnati today to fire up supporters and get them to the polls early.
The crowd of more than 6,800 roared with excitement throughout Obama's speech, waving American flags and chanting, "Fired up! Ready to vote!" and "Four more years!"
