no surprise here in the battle for the 7 electoral votes
Soonerpoll.com
Survey is of 305 voters statewide.
Romney leads 58-33 (8% undecided). In august it was 58-29 so that's a 3 pt pickup!
That's a 25 point lead.
“The main reason for Governor Romney’s dominance in the poll is his command of all of the top demographic groups,” said Bill Shapard, CEO of SoonerPoll.com. “I expect that the remaining undecideds will pre-dominantly break for Governor Romney putting him above 60 percent on election day.”
There is NO gender gap.
Romney led by the same margin in the largest city of OKC, but the race is actually tied in my city of Tulsa, 46% a piece.
In the rural areas Romney leads by 42% (!)
Romney is doing the worst in the 1st Congressional District here where he's at 49% which may give some hopes to John Olson. He's a conservadem.. He's running against Teapartier Jim Bridenstine who primaried incumbent John Sullivan, and a conservative independent. I fully expect Bridenstine to win though.
The main argument I've seen against Olson is that he'd vote for Nancy Pelosi as speaker if the dems got the majority.
