I've been a Pearl Jam fan for most of my life. They were the start of great music for me. And as far as I'm concerned they are THE #1 best band in history, bar none. Chalk it up to a first-timer's infatuation if you will. I don't. They deserve it.
They have long been known as champions for progressive causes, including famously for women's rights (at an MTV Unplugged session). The band supported Kerry in '04, and Obama in '08, and Eddie Vedder was quoted calling Mitt Romney's 47% comments "very upsetting", and saying that with a potential Romney Presidency "none of those 47% of people would have a voice."
The video from McCready was directed by Jesse Dylan, the man behind "Yes We Can", and is a very moving and personal endorsement of Obamacare.
I was denied twice, even being a member of a famous rock band. The people who don't have those kind of resources, they are stuck, they have no choices. But now, we can’t be denied insurance because of something we can’t change -- our illnesses. We have choices, we can be insured, and we can focus on having a life.
Thank you Mr. McCready for this video, and for your support of President Obama's signature achievement. You and your fellows continue to be a welcome voice, and an inspiration. Rock on.

I notice in the end credits
...he also helped pay for the ad. There's a man who puts his money where his mouth is...and who cares about people besides himself.
Democrats get a thinking, honorable Mike McCready...Republicans get a screaming psycopath Ted Nugent.
I'll GOTV like crazy...just to see Nugent's head explode after Obama wins.
Ha, we get Mike McCready, the rest of Pearl Jam, Tom Morello, Bruce Springsteen, and a whole lot more. They get Ted Nugent and that slob Hank Jr.
You can contribute to Obama for America here.
