I'm truly sorry for the wonderful people of New Jersey and New York who will be missing "the shore" as it was. I am a better person for having spent shore time in the summers that have been. I'm sure you will rebuild and recreate starting 5 minutes ago, but still, it will be missed.
Go Away Sandy.
The oceans are rising you all. The time for New York to rebuild for the new realities is at hand. I wonder if Mr. Bloomberg is up to it. He seems like a reasonable politician in many ways. I hope he is up to it. Mr. Christie has already stepped forward and spoken up for FEMA, as he should. Meanwhile, Mr. Bloomberg, if you expect your city to hold on to it's capital status you're going to need to consult with the Dutch about how to stay dry. It's the least you owe to the Knickerbockers! The great city needs a new direction, up, higher, dryer. New Amsterdam must rise again.
Thank you Susan Eisenhower for endorsing the President. Your confusion regarding "the real romney" is one many of us share, and the platform of the GOP (they really should switch mascots to a dinosaur) is "right" but not right. Mr. Romney convinced me that he is for the privatization of FEMA, and then he posed at a canned goods drive for New Jersey to show his heart is in the right place. His head snaps around like the perfectly greased weather-vane we've all heard about.
