His main issue was that the enthusiasm to vote is noticeably higher among demographics that favor the Republicans and noticeably down (by 20 points or more) among Demos likely to vote for Democrats.
And all these numbers are from Before The Debate.
The real question is what will the numbers look like going forward. I think we've all had our moments where we've been disappointed in the President.
I think some of us are about ready to have Jon Stewart go in and be his designated debater after he cleaned O'Reilly's CLOCK last night.
But unfortunately Jon's probably got something else lined up for that day.
The momentum of this game could change at any time.
Yes, Obama needs to knock down as many of the avalanche of #MttLies as he can, but he also needs to find the Inspiration Button again. He needs to find a way to give people something To Vote For, not just Vote against.
The Job isn't done. He needs to start better drawing the picture of where America can be, what it should be and how we're going to get there.
