PA post-Sandy is good news, per Philadelphia Inquirer and KYW1060 radio. Of 5900 polling locations statewide, as of mid-day Friday some 250 statewide had electric power problems, but the number was "dropping hour by hour" and all had contingency plans for election day (generators or relocation to nearby site with power). Philadelphia had 5 places with power problems as of Fri morning and all were expected to be restored by today. Montgomery county had 14, but PECO expected to clear all of them well in advance of election day. Bucks county had 20 but expected dramatic improvement over the weekend and they would make decisions Monday night for any last ones (generators or relocation).
Philadelphia city commissioners office personnel worked hard last week and even during the storm Monday and Tuesday and rest of this week to clear a backlog of 60,000 new voter registrations.
In terms of power outages generally (residences and businesses), PECO reports this morning that they have 65,000 still out, with 38,000 in Bucks county and 22,000 in Montgomery and they expect to have "most" of those restored by end of the weekend.
In south New Jersey the customers still without power as of Friday night by county are: 19,300 in Burlington county, 7500 in Camden, 544 in Gloucester, 5553 in Atlantic, 876 in Cape May, 2525 in Cumberland, and 331 in Salem. The "story was much more grim in central and northern New Jersey, where the storm flooded electrical substations and devastated utility infrastructure."
