Recently in the Camp Pendleton Patch, Democratic challenger to Rep. Darrell Issa in California's 49th Congressional District had this to say about him vs. Issa:

Here's my response to a comment made on the article as it appears on the article's own page:

Sounds just like every democratic candidate mouthing the same rhetoric attempting to vilify his opponent. I am not in your district and I urge you to vote against this man.

Farmrdave, I've interviewed Jerry Tetalman and the answer is NO, he's not mouthing the same rhetoric like others have. Tetalman is well aware he's in a district that has a considerable population of conservatives, Republicans and such. He's also well aware that Camp Pendleton exists within the district but Tetalman is open to people of all parties, not just the Democratic Party or the Republcian party. Tetalman explained to me once that he wants to represent ALL people of the 49th district. Issa won't even debate him, campaign nor even keep the communication line open for a number of people living in his own district to talk to him, whether or not they're issuing a complaint or have any concerns that need to be addressed. Tetalman offers to keep the communication line open, regardless of whether people agree with him or not. Most other Democrats stick to catering to just Democrats.
The bottom line is this: Jerry Tetalman may be progressive and he may be talking in the same sense as other Democrats are, but don't just a book by its cover. Tetalman is more substansive than just Democratic talking points.
If you agree and want to support Tetalman's campaign by all means do the following:
