Back in the day during primaries and generals folks here at DKos would post an open thread where all voting experiences could go.
I always enjoyed those diaries. They were a great place to get a lot of different little vignettes about voting experiences.
Therefore, I am starting one today folks to have one place where they can share their stories about what happened at the polls this morning, this afternoon, this evening.
Personally, I live in the financial district in lower Manhattan and folks were lined up out the door and up the block on Wall Street (yes people vote on Wall Street) at the polling station near my building. Therefore I will just vote late tonight. Probably closer to 9pm since I still have no phone/cable/internet so I will probably follow results on here using my phone.
Co-workers here in NYC are sharing stories of very long lines around the City despite power issues etc,
What's your experience? Long lines, Buzz on down ticket races?
