In the most recent debate for the Congressional race in Pennsylvania's 8th District, Democrat Kathy Boockvar called out her opponent, incumbent Mike Kitzpatrick's (R) voting record has been nothing but Tea Party rubber stamping:
Boockvar dinged Fitzpatrick for his support of budget proposals championed by GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, which would slash government spending to cut the budget and convert Medicare to a reimbursement program — Democratic critics say voucher program — starting in 2023, while cutting taxes.
"He's voted with the tea party on every issue of substance for the last 20 months," Boockvar said.

Earlier this fall, the race for the moderate suburban swing district, which now includes parts of northern Montgomery County, was seen as one of the state's closest. Compared to some other congressional races, redistricting did little to increase Fitzpatrick's advantage, and the district has voted Democrat in recent presidential elections. - The Morning Call, 10/25/12
Boockvar is right, Fitzpatrick has voted consistently with the Tea Party congress and contributing to GOP obstruction that has been hurting our economy's recovery. That's because Fitzpatrick is just a rubber stamper. He just does what his party and the Koch brothers tells him what to do. He signed Grover Norquist's pledge to never raise taxes just like the rest of the GOP congress and he stands by his Tea Party colleagues Michele Bachmann, Allen West, Joe Walsh, Sean Duffy, Steven King, Paul Ryan and Eric Canter. He doesn't want to work with Democrats, he doesn't want to work with Obama, he doesn't care about governing, he's just a rubber stamping Tea Party obstructionist.

Fitzpatrick of course has received his share of Super PAC donations but his biggest contributors come from the chemical industry in the 8th district:
http://www.rollcall.com/...
In May, Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), along with scores of other lawmakers engaged in similar activity, submitted 12 bills to suspend importation duties on chemicals such as Isoviolanthrone Crude Dry Presscake and 4-Sulfo-1,8-naphthalic anhydride potassium salt. The proposals would reduce taxes companies pay when they import chemicals from overseas to produce products here in the United States.
Now the International Trade Commission has estimated how much those proposals would cost taxpayers in lost revenue, which is also the monetary amount they would benefit the companies that are requesting them.
Eleven of Fitzpatrick’s 12 proposals would benefit two companies — both significant campaign donors — to the tune of $5.2 million, the ITC documents show.
The biggest benefactor from Fitpatrick's proposals Arkema Inc., the U.S. division of Arkema, France’s largest chemical company located in King of Prussia.
Like a lot of Tea Party Republicans, Fitzpatrick is just a former Bush rubber stamper trying to take on the role of deficit hawk, as the true fiscal conservative but his current voting record shows that he doesn't care about fixing America's debt. He voted for the Paul Ryan Budget which doesn't fix America's debt problem, it makes it worse. It also ends Medicare as we know, it makes devastating cuts to Social Security and a number of other essential programs that help the poor and middle-class, gives away more tax cuts to the wealthy while raising taxes on the middle-class and doesn't make one single cut to the defense department. This is a guy who campaigned back into the House of Representatives to preserve medicare and pushed the lie that Obama gutted medicare which of course is untrue.

Worst of all, Fitzpatrick is trying to incite racial tensions in the race by tying Boockvar to Mumia to scare white Philly suburbanite voters:
Hello, I’m calling from the National Republican Congressional Committee at 320 First Street Southeast, in Washington, DC, 20003, 202-479-7000, with a recorded message about congressional candidate and legal activist Kathy Boockvar and convicted Philadelphia cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal.
The husband-and-wife law firm of Boockvar and Yeager has represented one of the leading activists for Mumia Abu-Jamal – and Boockvar’s husband was a lawyer for a witness to the murder who accused the cops of pressuring her.
Boockvar’s husband himself accused the Philadelphia police of intimidating witnesses to the murder.
Boockvar’s colleague at a legal activist group accused the Philadelphia police union of having the state’s Supreme Court in its pocket when it comes to Abu-Jamal.
Last year, a group tied to Boockvar’s husband, held an event at the Constitution Center honoring Mumia Abu-Jamal. The cop killer called into the event from prison.
Call Kathy Boockvar at (215) 839-9383 and tell her that’s too radical for Bucks County.
It should be no surprise to anyone who is familiar with the way Fitzpatrick campaigned in 2004. The NRCC helped Fitzpatrick attacked his opponent, Democrat Virginia Schrader by putting mailers in voters mailing boxes that claimed Schrader was handing out pro-Hezbollah propaganda during a screening of Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 to help fundraise for her campaign. The NRCC mailer claimed that with Schrader, the "'Hate America' crowd has found their candidate." Fitzpatrick has remained unapologetic about the disgustingly dirty way he campaigns for office. There can be some pretty racist people in Pennsylvania, especially in Philadelphia where the City of Brotherly Love has had a long history of racial tension.
I had a friend who's brother was in charge Patrick Murphy's campaign finances and remember hearing a lot about how awful Mike Fitzpatrick was and how big of a Bush butt boy he was in congress. I remember how happy and proud I was that election night seeing scumbags like Fitzpatrick, Santorum and Curt Weldon go down that night. I was also proud to hear that Pennsylvania voters had sent both a decorate Admiral of the Navy and a brave Iraq War Veteran to congress. Two years ago, Fitzpatrick had returned but instead of running as the neo-con Bush Republican he truly was, he instead embraced the Tea Party and acted as if he was a born-again Christian who had seen the light on federal spending. And the teabaggers ate it up. The teabaggers kicked out the first Iraq War Veteran because he bravely stood up in congress and lead the fight to repeal DADT and he did it by working closely with Barack Obama both while Obama was a Senator and as President. Fitzpatrick is like herpes, he won't go away and he is an embarrassing pain to live with.
Fitzpatrick has made CREDO Actions Tea Party 10. He's voted for the Paul Ryan Budget which does away with medicare. He's helped his Tea Party Republican colleagues hold the economy hostage and slow down the recovery to preserve tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. Instead of focusing on jobs and helping his constituents, Fitzpatrick has been preoccupied helping his fellow Republicans in their War On Women:
Residents of the Philly suburbs, especially in the 8th District, are pro-choice and Fitzpatrick has chosen to be another foot soldier in the War On Women. His decisions to defund Planned Parenthood could cause the voters to kick Fitpatrick out again. But the GOP Super PACs refuse to let that happen. They love Fitzpatrick and he is Mitt Romney's type of guy:
http://www.keystonepolitics.com/...
Speaking to a Tea Party group, Fitzpatrick was recorded telling them that “we need to support people who have a history and know what it is like to sign the front of a paycheck, not the back of a paycheck,” which the PA AFL-CIO said “impl[ies] that people who receive paychecks rather than own businesses are somehow less important to the American economy.”
Fitzpatrick’s Democratic challenger, Kathy Boockvar, said “[i]t’s shocking that Congressman Fitzpatrick would so callously insult the hard working, middle class people who trusted him to represent them in Washington, and his divisive philosophy represents yet another example of why he’s the wrong fit for Bucks and Montgomery counties.”
“As Congresswoman for the 8th district, I will represent all of the people, regardless of what side of the paycheck they sign,” Boockvar added. - Keystone Politics, 9/27/12
Also, Fitzpatrick is alien to the idea that woman could be a CEO or own her own business:
http://articles.mcall.com/...
In his recent remarks at a tea party fundraiser in Bucks County, U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick echoed Mitt Romney's comments and commended those who own businesses and "sign the front of the paycheck … . It's just you and your wife and your banker… ." Has he never heard of women who own businesses, who are CEOs, who are doctors, lawyers, professionals and who sign paychecks on the front, whether or not they have husbands? - The Morning Call, 10/5/12
No wonder Republicans love Fitzpatrick. He's a condescending, out-of-touch douche, just like Mitt Romney:

There are several reasons why we need Boockvar in congress and need to give Fitzpatrick the boot but it's incredibly important that we defeat him because we can't allow racist propaganda to cost us this race. It's bad enough that Fitzpatrick tied his first opponent to Hezbollah but trying to tie Boockvar to Mumia is playing into white Philly suburban fears of black people.

The DCCC recently pulled it's ad buy in the PA-8th race to use it's resources in other races. On the surface, it looks like the DCCC is giving up on this race but the DCC is confident that Boockvar has what it takes to win:
http://www.politicspa.com/...
DCCC spokesman Jesse Ferguson said the committee was confident in Boockvar.
“With President Obama running strong in the Philadelphia suburbs and the NRCC following Mitt Romney and cutting out, we are confident that our strong Democratic challengers in the area will be able to capitalize on their opponents’ toxic records,” he said. - Politics PA, 10/10/12
The DCCC has reserved a $722,000 scheduled for PA-8 in the final week of the campaign.
Mike Fitzpatrick is a dirty politician who will go to great lengths to smear Kathy Boockvar's good name. In a blue district like the 8th District, there's no reason for him to be representing this district. He shouldn't have even been given a second chance in 2010. He will continue his rubber stamping for the GOP Tea Party and will not work with President Obama to help fix the economy. That's why we need to help Boockvar win this race. Boockvar has been on the Orange To Blue list for a long time and I am both impressed and proud of how supportive the Daily Kos community has been in raising money for Boockvar's campaign. It's because of this great community's dedication is why I haven't given up on this race. Lets help her pull an upset victory in this district. Lets put an end to Fitzpatrick's rubber stamping, put the adults back in charge and give Nancy Pelosi the gavel again. Donate to Boockvar's campaign today:
